What is 2 Strong Records?
2 Strong Records is more than a business or a record label. 2 Strong is a movement and a vision. As 2 Strong, we are called to speak the truth that we know regardless of the circumstance or situation. We are called to be that voice in a society that is, for the most part, evil. We are called to be an outlet through rap music. 2 Strong is, and only can be, filled with individuals who have gone through the mountain tops and the valley lows. Individuals that are driven by a desire from within. We are not here to be controlled nor do we seek to control. This is who we are, and this is what we represent. We are not afraid of the evil around us, and we are dedicated to the truth.
Chi City Mob Records
In 2003, Chi City Mob Records was created by Arsn as a vision for the city of Chicago. In a city that was and still is plauged with violence, Arsn had a vision after the death of his good friend, to unite the streets by the promotion of the city that he loved so dearly. Many of the talented artists/producers/dj's that have come out of the city were once a part of this movement. After trials and tribulations of his own, Arsn had to rediscover who he was. The label had seem to fall and the music seemed to be over, but in 2006, Chi City Mob Records made a huge buzz after winning the Demomix.com 2006 talent contest during the Puerto Rican Fest in Humbolt Park. The win opened the door for a recording contract and gave them the opportunity to open up for Kanye/Common during the Global Mixx 2006 summit in Chicago, Illinois. The drive to promote the city still moves on and lives through the music of 2 Strong and Arsn. It is a movement that will never die.
